While their history may be short, Fairview has made a considerable impact on the Birmingham music scene. Originally conceived as a ska punk band, the musical influences of Jack O'Regan, Chris Holton, Steve Pell and drummer Pinky soon changed and crafted their sound from ska punk to a combination of pop punk vocals, punk guitar lines and ska bass riffs.

Soon after forming, Fairview went into the studio to record a demo at Rich Bitch Studios in Selly Oak. With their demo in hand, they were able to get a foot hold in the Birmingham music scene, and in three short months they had already played 20 gigs in some of the top rated venues in the area with some of the top acts in the Midlands...
