Once upon a time tHERE was a little indie-chick who loved music. She loved little known bands like Mansun, Travis, Muse & Snow Patrol (before they were big). She wanted to help them get to the top. In a blinding crash of realisation she decided, "I'm going to be a radio presenter and play people all my favourite bands! They will love them as much as I do!". She pestered her friend, Chris Marsden, until she got a show on York's Minster FM.
She interviewed unknown bands giving them well deserved airplay. On her show, Travis got their first spin on, Matthew Bellamy was interviewed several times before his band, Muse, got big and famous, and she told the world about the fantastic Snow Patrol.
Fast forward a few years, Jools moved onto freelance radio presenting at many well know commercial radio stations. On one such station she used to handcuff pop stars in pink fluffy cuffs and take photos of them for her website. This became known as 'Cuffed Corner'. Snow Patrol, Keane, Mark Owen and Alistair Griffin all became willing victims of the love cuffs.
Eventually, wanting to make more of a difference - and with the help of her friends Laura and Alex - she thought up SPARKLE PROMOTIONS! A PR company that deals exclusively with amazing indepenent artists. The kind of bands that shouldn't have to worry about sorting out their own press, but concentrate totally on what really matters - the music.
So... that is the story of Little Miss Jools Sparkle. Goodnight children...!?
